Buckinghamshire Councillor for Terriers and Amersham Hill
Tony was first elected as a councillor in 1982 in the London Borough of Lambeth. He served on that Council until 1998 when he and his family moved to Totteridge in High Wycombe. Tony was then elected to Wycombe District Council in 1999 for the ward of Green Hill and Totteridge. In 2003 the ward boundaries changed and Tony was elected to represent Terriers and Amersham Hill where he has remained a councillor, firstly for Wycombe District Council and since 2020, Buckinghamshire Council. During his time as a councillor Tony has served as a committee chairman, Chairman of Council and Deputy Leader as well as serving in the cabinet on both Wycombe and Buckinghamshire Councils. In 2003 he was elected Mayor of High Wycombe.
Tony has also served in a number of roles in the Wycombe Conservative Association, including being chairman for three years.
Tony is active in the local community as a member of the Royal British Legion, a school governor, a trustee of Wycombe Museum and a director of the High Wycombe Bid Company.
