Arman was elected to serve as a councillor in Buckinghamshire Council following the local elections in May 2021. Arman cherishes the opportunity and is committed to serving the residents of Abbey.
Arman was born and raised in High Wycombe and have lived in High Wycombe for most of his life save for a period when he was studying law at university. Following university he was called to the Bar and practices as a barrister in the fields of Immigration Law, Family Law and Litigation.
The Abbey ward is rapidly developing with developments taking place which includes the developments near Handy Cross and Crest Road. Plans are in progress to work towards regenerating areas of the centre including White Hart Street and a new College to be built on Bridge street which intends to accommodate 800 to 1000 students.
The Abbey ward has been selected as one of the wards to benefit from further funding through Buckinghamshire County Council’s Opportunity Bucks programme. Arman aims to continue to work with his colleagues to tackle the following issues,
- Anti social behaviour
- Road repairs and resurfacing
- Supporting the vulnerable during the cost of living crisis
- Homelessness
- Infrastructure required further to developments.
- Parking
Arman wants to ensure that Wycombe is a pleasant place for both residents and visitors.
